Couple More Instrumental Post Rock Bands

Mar 23, 06:33 PM

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve updated, and this isn’t an amazing update to boot, but figured I’d let you know about a couple of bands I’ve been into lately.

If you haven’t checked out my other post, please do, I list a bunch of the instrumental progressive rock bands that I listen to! Well, there is some singing in some of them, but oh well! So, onto the bands&hellip.

Mouth of the Architect (Dayton, OH)
The song Hate & Heartache starts out with a sample of some movie or something, haven’t quite figured it out, but it’s a pretty powerful message that turns into an awesome song!

Maybeshewill (Leicester, UK)
I actually found out about this band when searching for the source of the previous song’s sample, because apparently Maybeshewill has a song that has the same (but extended) sample in it! I think Maybeshewill did it first (in the song Not for Want of Trying), but oh well. This band’s a little harder than Mouth of the Architect, but both are excellent!

Years of Rice & Salt (London, UK)
I don’t quite remember how I heard about this band, but either way I found them or they found me on Twitter (that’s another article, Twitter’s pretty powerful…) and have a free downloadable EP so I figured I’d check them out. Definitely worth it, and eagerly awaiting a full length!

This has been one of my favorite genres to explore recently. There’s a ton of great stuff out there! Hope you enjoy checking these bands out.
