Here are some of the pieces that I’ve done throughout my college career.
a flash midterm project
This was one I created earlier. It’s based off a Far Side comic strip. Despite its simplicity, I think it says a lot. I still enjoy watching it occasionally.
a flash final project
I really enjoyed designing this Flash piece. While the content of it is a bit random, I took care when deciding how I would design it so it fit the elephant theme.

These two events calendars were made to be posted around the Michigan Tech campus. The design process was multi-staged in that they both went through many revisions and updates to make them look just right.
homecoming button (pdf)
Also created for Tech, this Homecoming button was part of a suite of designs that I did for Homecoming 2006. The theme went on all sorts of things: t-shirts, cups, banners, posters, etc.
kday poster (pdf)
This poster was made for Michigan Tech’s famous Keweenaw Day 2006. The pictures show exactly what happens at KDay: lots of food and fun in the sun.
leadership symposium poster (pdf)
Jungle was the theme for this Leadership Symposium. This poster takes advantage of whitespace.
northern lights logo (pdf)
The Northern Lights Film Festival is a local film festival put on at Michigan Tech. This is a logo design that I submitted to the festival. A competition was held in order to find which design would be used for this upcoming year’s festival, and mine placed quite high.
pank cover (pdf)
Pank is a new literary journal that Tech is publishing. This was also a design competition which I submitted a cover for. It also ranked high, but unfortunately color printing processes are too expensive for the journal.
alternative spring break (pdf)
This is a poster done for Tech’s Alternative Spring Break program where groups go and do service work (although the Tech Adventures program was doing their own outing too).
dan ahdoot poster (pdf)
This was a poster I made relatively early in my Student Activities career. It ended up fairly simplistic, but elegant I think. I like how it turned out.
hard ‘n phirm (pdf)
This is yet another poster, for Hard ‘n Phirm, some comedy/singer duo. It’s still in approval stage and hasn’t made it to the walls of Tech, but it will be after spring break! I haven’t done too much “grunge” before, but this one ended up looking pretty grungy, and I like it.
lost boys of sudan (pdf)
The International Club had me do a poster for their monthly movie, this one being The Lost Boys of Sudan. I used a fairly simple layout, but I think it ended up working well enough.
scratch track poster (pdf)
Another poster for a singer who came to Tech. The thing I liked the most about this poster is the way I manipulated the script text on the edges of the picture.
